WHAT IS THE STRUCTURE OF A TYPICAL SERVICE?​

​​Duration: Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Opening: The pastor gives announcements.

Worship: 3-4 songs of worship, with lyrics displayed

on TV screens for congregation participation.

Prayer: A time of prayer follows the worship.

Children's Church: After worship, children can go to the

Education Building for children’s church, though it's optional.

Sermon: The pastor delivers the sermon.

Invitation: An invitation is extended to the congregation.

Closing: One final worship song, offering, and a closing prayer.

WHAT'S THE CULTURE LIKE AT WAHOO BAPTIST CHURCH?​

Come as you are! Our church is casual and laid-back, so feel free to wear whatever makes you comfortable. Some of us dress up, some of us dress down, and most of us are somewhere in the middle. Got tattoos? You’re more than welcome here too. You won’t see our pastor in a suit either—we keep things easygoing and relaxed.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?

Feel free to bring your kids into the sanctuary with you. After the 3-4 worship songs, the pastor will invite them to head to Children's Church. Our Children's Director and her team of volunteers will guide those who choose to go to the Education Building, where they’ll enjoy a meaningful experience learning about Jesus.

 

However, if your children prefer to stay in the sanctuary with you, they are more than welcome to do so! In fact, we believe it’s important for children to experience worship in the sanctuary with the entire congregation from time to time. That’s why, on every 5th Sunday, there is no children’s church, and the kids join us for the full service

When the service ends, you can pick up your children at the two-story Education Building. Exit through one of the doors on either side of the stage, walk through the resource area, then head outside, past the fellowship hall. Children's Church is on the first floor—nursery is on the left, and Pre-K through 5th grade is on the right.

WHAT DO YOU DO TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF MY CHILDREN?

To guarantee your children's safety, we carefully select, train, and background check all our volunteers to ensure they are qualified and trustworthy. Additionally, we have security personnel on-site at both the Education Building and the Sanctuary to provide extra reassurance.

WHERE ARE THE RESTROOMS?

​

Ah, the classic question! If you need to step out for a moment, you’re not alone! Just head through the door to the left or right of the stage. Once you’re in the Resource Area, take a right to find the men’s and women’s restrooms down the hallway. Easy peasy!​​​
